The diagnostics centre at Lifecare Hospital & Research Centre consists of several branches which includes Radiology & Pathology.
The department strives to provide high quality & accurate tests at affordable prices. The department uses highly advanced equipments to ensure the best performance. The team in the department consists of experienced and well trained doctors and support staff.
A hospital of repute takes its name from the diagnostic department it runs. We at Lifecare hospital take pride in our diagnostics department which boasts of a central clinical laboratory equipped with the latest automated analyzers. Our hematology is run on the latest 6 part differential analyzer by Horiba. The biochemistry section boasts of a fully automated wet chemistry analyzer by Awareness technology armed with two semi-automated analyzers. Immunology is done entirely on the 5 chamber VIDAS immunology analyzer which is best in class. Coagulation studies, Microbiology and clinical pathology tests are also performed by experts. Our hematology section also handles bone marrow studies.
No tertiary care hospital laboratory is complete without a proper Histopathology section. We at Lifecare are proud of our dedicated, well equipped, in house Histopathology and Cytopathology department where alongwith the routine surgical specimen, all inflow from our OncoLifecare cancer center is handled efficiently. The entire spectrum of non-neoplastic to neoplastic specimen is handled with special attention to maintaining a very short TAT of around 1 -3 days.
The Department carries out all the tests in the sections of Hematology, Biochemistry, Histopathology Clinical Pathology, Serology Immunology and Microbiology. Blood Bank is also next to Pathology Department.
The Department is open all twenty-four hours all three hundred and sixty-five days of the year and all the tests are done as and when the need is for the patient on Outpatient basis or in patient basis.
The test menu consists of more than nine hundred tests.
The department has all modern state of art auto analyzers. All equipment is well maintained.

is presently working as Consultant and Head, Department of Pathology. He did his MBBS from Dr. D.Y.Patil Medical College, Kolhapur after which he went on to complete his MD in Pathology from the reputed Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Karad. A passionate practicing pathologist at heart, he also has a love for academics and research. Alongwith the daily section work, he was responsible for the training and teaching of post graduate residents and undergraduates during his 3 year tenure at Krishna Hospital after his post-graduation. Being one of the reputed hospitals in western Maharashtra, during his tenure at Krishna hospital, he had the opportunity to work with stalwarts in his field.
After his stint at KIMS, Karad, he joined Lifecare hospital in 2017 and since has been directly responsible for the functioning of the entire central clinical laboratory alongwith the Histopathology and Cytopathology departments. His areas of interest are Histopathology with special interest in Oncopathology.
An avid research enthusiast, till date,he has published more than 25 research case studies, original articles and case reports in various national and international journals.
